Pinot Noir Wild Earth
Top 5% wine in the UK
Blend: 100% Pinot Noir
From: New Zealand, Central Otago
By: Quintin Quider @ Wild Earth
From a wild and rugged vineyard in Otago on New Zealand’s South Island, this is a light bodied red which promises to be firm and intense. Wild Earth Pinot Noir 2012 won a silver medal at the esteemed Decanter wine awards in 2016, so you can be sure you’re onto a good thing.
The Wild Earth Vineyard is owned and loved by Californian Quintin Quider, a commercial diver who fell in love with the landscape and jumped at the chance to own a slice of it. Quintin released his first vintage in 2004, and by 2008 had firmly earned his place on the Pinot map, winning awards left right and centre. Wild Earth Pinot Noir is aged for twelve months in French oak barriques.
