Produced from some of the best grapes in the dolomites, this pinot nero is vinificated without adding any yeast or enzymes and by avoiding as much human interaction as possible. After vinification the wine is aged for 18 months in durmast barrels in the historic “maso” from the 18th century.
Pale ruby in colour (typical for this grape). The nose starts with fresh fruit, cranberry, strawberry, plums and evolves into complex spicy notes. The palate is quite muscular and deep, starting with fresh fruits, which evolve into jam notes and finishes with spices and liquorice. This really is what a Pinot Noir should taste like.
Azienda Agricola Dalzocchio was founded in 1979 and run by Elisabetta. Situated in an astonishing position surrounded from mountains, oaks, wood and trees, The vineyards have good exposure to the sun whilst benefitting from the Lake Gard breeze. All the grapes are hand picked and hand selected resulting in a high quality low yield.
