Pinot Nero Bressan
Top 1% wine in the world
Blend: 100% Pinot Noir
From: Italy, Collio IGP
By: Bressan Mastri Vinai
The Pinot Nero is harvested in vineyards located on the eastern border of Italy in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Bright ruby red in colour, it has a complex and deep nose, starting with small red fruits such as cranberries and strawberries and evolving to black plum and liquorice. The Palate is long and deep with a good acidity to balance the structure and refresh the mouth.
The background of the Bressan dynasty coincides with 300 years of Friuli Venezia Giulia history. Founded by Giacomo in 1726 and since then the family has gone through the Austrian domain, Napoleon, two world wars and many different economic cycles. But they have continued for over 300 years to keep their passion of wine making alive and pass it down through the family with the same traditional values. To grow good vines in full respect of nature. Today the winery is managed by Fulvio who hopes to pass it on to his son Emanuele one day in order to continue the family tradition.
