Top 5% wine in the UK
Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
From: France, Touraine AOC
By: Jean & Thierry Puzelat @ Clos Du Tue-Boeuf
A light-bodied Sauvignon Blanc from a vineyard with a long and noble history – there is evidence that wine has been produced at Clos Du Tue-Boeuf since the middle ages, and were enjoyed by Francis I and Henry III. Petit Buisson is an elegant white, said to be ‘refreshingly drinkable’. That’s good.
The Puzelat family have been tending the vineyard since the fifteenth century; that’s an awful lot of inherited expertise. Currently managed by Thierry and Jean-Francois Puzelat, the historic Clos Du-Tue Boeuf estate in the Loire Valley lies between wilderness and woodland; a balanced ecosystem that the Puzelats say enhances the wines. The grapes for Petit Buisson are carefully hand-picked and are left to ferment naturally in Burgundian barrels.
