Mauvais Temps Rouge
Blend: 40% Négret de Banhars + 40% Fer Servadou + 20% Cabernet Franc
From: France, Aveyron IGP
By: Nicolas Carmarans
Mauvais Temps means bad weather, but this is by no means a bad wine. A vibrant red from the estate of Nicolas Carmarans, a Parisian who gave up his wine bar to concentrate on his beloved vineyard. Mauvais Temps is a light red with earthy, meaty flavours.
Nicholas Carmaren’s organic vineyards are in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, a warm, temperate region famous for its terraced vineyards. Nicholas farms 3.3 hectares of vines on steep hills overlooking a stunning valley near the village of Campouriez. Mauvais Temps is created from a selected blend of grapes: Négret de Banhas, Fer Servadou and Cabernet Franc, which are fermented in wooden casks for twelve months.
