Brilliantly named and lovingly made, Lionheart of the Barossa is a shiraz from old gnarled vines growing in some of the oldest soils on the planet. Barossa Valley is one of the many heirloom vineyards run by Dandelion Vineyards, a partnership of dedicated, artisan winemakers that have too many awards to list!
Wine is a way of life in Barossa Valley, a beautiful patchwork vista of vineyards and villages whose residents are famed for their hospitality and love of the vine. The shiraz grapes for this decadent red grow on vines over 100 years-old. Grapes are hand picked, gently crushed and fermented in open vats for eight days before being basket pressed and fermented in old French barriques for sixteen months. Lionheart of the Barossa is unfiltered, unfined.
Vivino users rate it a top wine with a stunning 3.8!
