Chateau Plaisance Rosé
Blend: 65% Négrette + 20% Gamay + 15% Syrah
From: France, Sud Ouest
By: Penavayre family @ Château Plaisance
A pinky and perky rosé from Chateau Plaisance in the Tarn region of Gascony. Classique Rosé is a versatile wine that can be enjoyed with almost anything. Made from a blend of three grapes: Négrette, Syrah and Gamay, the wine is unfiltered, unfined and fermented with wild yeasts.
Chateau Plaisance is owned by the Penavayre family, who have farmed the land there for over two hundred years. These days the family concentrate on wine, and they certainly have the expertise; Louis Penayvre has achieved significant recognition of the quality of his wine and his son Marc is a certified oenologue (wine taster) who has carried out viticulture research for the national institute of agricultural research. The vineyard has grown in size over recent years but the Penavayres remain committed to organic and biodynamic production.
