Castel Del Monte Pietrabianca
Blend: 95% Chardonnay + 5% Fiano
From: Italy, Castel del Monte DOC
The Chardonnay grapes are enriched by a touch of Fiano, all produced organically. Each wine vinificated separately in steel vats. The chardonnay is then aged in French and Hungarian wooden barrique before being blended with the Fiano. The result is a wide bouquet with the mineral notes of the fiano, and the vanilla buttery notes of the chardonnay. Palate is fresh and wide with a good balance between fruity and savoury notes. Long lasting finish.
Puglia is a region known for its beauty, food, tradition and coastal landscapes. Often its hilly landscapes are overlooked and left undiscovered. In particular the plateau of Murge, which at about 300 meters a.s.l is perfect wine making territory. Harsh cold winters and cool summers with varying temperatures between day and night.
