The powerful Nero di Troia grapes from Canosa are blended with Aglianico from Acerenza. Medium purple colour, nose with red berries, blackberries and a finish of cocoa and liquorice. The palate is complex and intense, beginning with red berries, evolving into jams and mature red fruit. Finishing with spices and long lasting tannins.
Cantina Diomede was founded in 1903, and since then it has been operating, growing and modernising constantly. Starting from 2000 Luigi Lenoci and Sabino Masciulli took over of producing high quality wines with local grapes. The headquarters is located in Canosa (Apulia region) wine some of the vineyards in Acerenza (Basilicata region). The name comes Canace, is made from the first syllable of Canosa di Puglia and Acerenza in Basilicata.
