Cabernet Sauvignon Tradition Réserve
Top 10% wine in the UK
Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
From: Chile, Cachapoal Andes
By: Victor Arce @ Château Los Boldos
This Cabernet Sauvignon, made from older vines in the Cachapoal Valley, is the very epitome of good value. It is a medium-bodied wine, with plump, ripe tannins, good structure, and flavours of raspberry and strawberry with a definite hint of black cherry.
Chateau Los Boldos has its vineyards in the renowned Cachapoal Valley in central Chile, where the climate and terroir are perfect for making balanced, complex red wines. The grapes for this wine were entirely estate grown, on Los Boldos’ gravelly soils.
Low yields and a dry Mediterranean climate have contributed to the intensity and concentration of the wine.
The grapes were fermented in stainless steel and around 60% of the wine was aged in French oak barrels, adding complexity and depth to the finished blend.
