From a small family estate in the Lugo region of Northern Spain famous for its contrasting and often dramatic landscapes. The Romans were (probably) the first people to plant vines here, and now the region’s slopes are home to many a vineyard, producing fine, aromatic wines.
The Rodríguez family have been making wine for five generations. Today, the land is tended by Pedro Rodríguz and his parents. The estate is organic and, for the most part, red grape vines are planted in with the white. However the grapes for the Blanco have been separated from their red cousins. The grapes are manually harvested, destemmed,` macerated for 30 hours and aged for six months. Blanco is lightly filtered but not fined.
