Top 4% wine in the world
Blend: 90% Zweigelt + 10% St Laurent
From: Austria, Burgenland
By: Weingut Judith Beck
A fruity inky red from the sparsely populated Burgenland in Austria. Beck Ink is a light-bodied wine created from Zweigelt and St Laurent grapes, grown organically on the family farm of Matthias and Judith Beck and matured for ten months in old wooden barriques.
The Beck family used to work a mixed farm, but in 1975 the family decided to devote their attention to growing vines. Today the land is worked by Matthias, while Judith, who learnt her craft travelling France Italy and Chile, works her magic in the cellar. The Burgenland enjoys easy winters, mild springs and dry hot summers cooled by breezes from the Neuiedler See, a vast reedy lake extending into neighbouring Hungary.
Vivino users rate it a top wine with a stunning 4.1!
