Top 6% wine in the world
Blend: 100% Nebbiolo
From: Italy, Barolo DOCG
By: Giacomo Borgogno
A full-bodied red from the rolling hills of Piedmont in the north of Italy. The villages here have been making some of Italy’s finest wines for centuries; Barolo Fossati is created from the region’s signature grape, Nebbilio. This well reviewed red can be enjoyed now or kept until 2028.
The Borgogno family are one of the oldest Barolo producing families in Piedmont – they have been making wine here since 1761. Fresh blood is moving the domaine forwards, making sure that this historic brand still has its place at the top. The Nebbilio grapes for the Barolo Fossati are manually harvested and taken to the family’s winery in the heart of Barola where they are aged in young Slovenian barrels.
